Ocean Art

Ever since I spent three months in Florida for a language study program in 1990, I could never let go of my longing for the ocean. I am particularly taken with the miles of fine sandy beaches in Florida that are covered with beautiful shells... For me there is no better moment of inner peace than wading barefoot in the shallow sea, breathing in the salty air, listening to the sound of the sea and seabirds while keeping my eyes on the ground to find as many beautiful and unique shells as possible. The turquoise and blue tones of the sea and lush green vegetation make my heart beat faster.  I am fascinated by island worlds from a bird's eye view  and I enjoy capturing all these snapshots in my work.
